SANTA MARTA

MONTECUCCO SANGIOVESE

 

100% Sangiovese.
The grapes are harvested from Salustri's organic vines,
that are over 30 years old.
 
The wine is vinified in oak barrels for three weeks and the cap is punched down three to four times a day,
and is then allowed to mature for eighteen mounths in oak casks.

The end result is a wine with a pleasant bouquet of violets and aromatic wood that precedes vanilla, toast and jammy fruit on the palate.
Very well balanced with elegant tannins on the finish.
